We are looking for

Highly talented, skilled and proactive people to help us with an increasing volume of assessments, nurture and develop relationships with our clients and to join a fast growing company to help build its next phase of development.

We need

A Client Liaison Officer to contribute towards achieving the Company’s growth plan by being the ‘face of the Company’ enthusiastically and diligently managing the whole life cycle (end-to-end) of all mental capacity assessments to a high standard. The role is a full time position but we would consider a minimum of 30 hours per week working everyday, Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will also contribute to the company’s continuous improvement culture by continuously improving operational processes within own areas and reporting and contributing to opportunities for improvement in other areas of the company.

To be a Client Liaison Officer for TSF you will need to be: 

  • Able to maintain high standards of customer service at all times.
  • Keen to provide the first point of contact for all new mental capacity assessments whether received via phone, email or post.
  • Able to quickly understand clients’ needs.
  • Up to date with the rules around client confidentiality and data protection.
  • Proactive in regularly keeping clients updated regarding the status of their case responding to any questions or queries.
  • Able to create quotes and invoices on the company’s systems.
  • Be a highly proficient organiser and coordinator.
  • Confident in reporting any client feedback received for inclusion in the continuous improvement process.
  • Proactive in making any improvements required within the jobholder’s work area identified through the continuous improvement process.
  • Accurate when recording and updating client data in the CRM system.
  • Keen to attend any internal or external learning intervention deemed essential for the role and the company as a whole.
  • Proactive in keeping knowledge up to date by means of researching mental capacity assessment related materials and latest thinking.
  • Helpful in providing guidance and support to colleagues in relation to any query that falls into the jobholder’s area of specialism.

To be a Client Liaison Officer for TSF you will have: 

  • Previous experience in a heavy administrative role.
  • A good command of spoken and written English, be able to understand, articulate and pronounce complex sentences.
  • Proficiency in the use of mathematics.
  • Experience of prioritising and meeting tight deadlines effectively.
  • Proven experience in using your own initiative and thinking on your feet
  • A sound working knowledge of MS office applications.

And ideally you will also:

  • Have experience of a similar role in a health or a legal related organisation.
  • Be familiar with the Mental Capacity Act and ideally have an understanding of the different types of mental capacity assessment.
  • Be reasonably familiar with relevant case law, to understand how it affects the job and the implications of failing to follow case law rulings.

The Quality Monitoring Team

Based in the Stroud Head Office, our QMOs are responsible for evaluating the quality and appropriateness of every assessment conducted by TSF.

Day-to-day duties will include:

  • Providing advice and guidance for assessors before, during and after the assessment to improve knowledge and practice.
  • Applying relevant law and case law in the evaluation of individual cases.
  • Develop in-house training and resources to ensure the TSF standards are met.
  • Provide training to assessors to promote best practice and ensure the high level of quality is maintained.
  • Reviewing and proof-reading content of Court reports, forms and addressing an possible issues that may arise.

We are looking for

A highly talented, skilled and proactive individual who is passionate about mental capacity, to help the company build its next phase of development and achieve its mission. You could be a learning disability nurse, mental health nurse, general nurse, social worker, occupational therapist or speech and language therapist who is looking for a new challenge or specialism.

We need

A Mental Capacity Quality Monitoring Team Leader, working from our Stroud Head Office to help us with an increasing volume of assessments. The contract is maternity cover for up to 12 months.

The Quality Monitoring Team Leader specialising in the area of mental capacity, will contribute towards achieving the Company’s growth plan. Ensuring the standard of every mental capacity assessment that leaves the company is of the highest quality and has been carried out in line with the company’s standard operating procedures.

This person will also contribute to the company’s continuous improvement culture by continuously improving operational processes within own areas and reporting and contributing to opportunities for improvement in other areas of the company.

About you

Given the nature of the role it is essential that you have:

  • A health or social care qualification.
  • Extensive knowledge about the Mental Capacity Act
  • Skilled at communicating complex information by telephone, email and in person.
  • Vigilant when quality checking assessments.
  • Thorough when checking that assessments meet required standards.
  • Previous experience in a heavily administrative role.
  • Knowledge of and experience of completing mental capacity assessments.
  • A good command of spoken and written English, be able to understand, articulate and pronounce complex sentences.
  • Very high administrative skills.
  • Consistent when maintaining all internal documentation relating to the compliance and quality of the assessments.
  • Constructive with your feedback to your peers in respect of the quality of their reports.
  • Exacting and specific when giving direct feedback to peers even to the extent of grammar, spelling, formatting etc.
  • Confident in your ability to report objectively, accurately and timely any concerns about the performance of your peers.
  • Willing and able to guide others in your area of expertise.
  • Proactive when any improvements are required within your work area identified through the continuous improvement process.
  • Readily available and keen to attend any internal or external learning intervention deemed essential for the role and the company as a whole.
  • Interested in your professional development and keeping your knowledge up to date in your own area in area of expertise and best practices within the sector.
  • Generous with your ideas for improvement reporting them through the via the company’s employee suggestion mechanisms.
  • Education: Bachelors (Required)

To be a Quality Monitoring Team Leader for TSF, you will need to: –

  • Be able to coach the team for performance by helping others achieve more through feedback, instruction and encouragement.
  • Provide decisive team leadership by leading a team by using knowledge, experience and expertise to make rapid and effective decisions.
  • Be able to involve and empower the team by encouraging team members to take ownership and responsibility by getting them involved in decision-making.
  • Reward and recognise team members outwardly for their contribution.
  • Manage by understanding the team members and what motivates them, building good relations with them and recognising that good results can be achieved through their efforts as well as the jobholders own.
  • Promote change by continually pushing change and improving ways of working and how things are organised so that the department and the wider company stays ahead of the competition.
  • Manage resources so that maximum productivity is achieved.
  • Conduct regular team member 1-2-1’s and annual performance development reviews (PDR).
