Bill was a 76 year old man with a diagnosis of dementia. His brother, Michael had recently died and named Bill as the sole executor in his Will. Unfortunately, Bill’s dementia was at the stage whereby he was no longer able to remember that his brother was deceased or what the role of an executor involved.
Even though he was provided with the necessary information, he forgot it within a matter of minutes.
Our report was submitted to the Probate office who authorised the appointment of another executor to facilitate the execution of Michael’s Will.
