Joe was a 32 year old gentleman with an acquired brain injury. He had received a significant amount of compensation and it was felt that he should make a Will to ensure that those he wanted to benefit upon his death did so.
Unfortunately, the extent of his brain injury meant that he wasn’t able to meet the necessary criteria to make a Will. However, our report was submitted as evidence to the Court of Protection as part of the deputies application for a Statutory Will. A Statutory Will that reflected Joe’s wishes and feelings was later authorised by the Court.
