I am a registered Senior Social Worker with 5 years of experience assessing Mental Capacity in line with the MCA (2005). This has been as part of a Local Authority role and subsequently my role with TSF Consultants.
I specialise in working with Adults who have Learning Disabilities, Autism, Acquired Brain Injuries, Traumatic Brain Injuries and Physical Impairments. In my Local Authority role, I regularly assess Mental Capacity for Safeguarding purposes and to increase independence in the lives of vulnerable adults.
In my role as a Mental Capacity Assessor, I have proficient and novel experience in assessing Mental Capacity for a broad range of complex legal decisions and financial decisions. My incessant front-line practice retains my specialist skill set and ensures that I always adopt a person-centred approach, to ensure the best outcomes for the person.
I am passionate about supporting the most vulnerable people in society to live as independently as possible and ensure their voices are heard. This compelled me to become a Best Interest Assessor to prevent breaches of the European Convention on Human Rights and specialise in Mental Capacity.
